Is Moving to the Cloud Right for My Business?

As the new year begins, are you taking the time to re-evaluate your business? As an executive or decision-maker, taking time to see what is working and what isn’t working is an important part of your role in your company. If your review process does not directly include taking a hard look at your network and IT capabilities, you could be missing multiple opportunities to increase client experience and create a more productive environment for your employees.

At RWK, we work closely with business executives and owners just like you. As we get to know each of our clients, we are able to recommend the best next steps for your network. For some of our clients, moving to Cloud computing services is an excellent decision. For others, we recommend staying away from Cloud-based services.

Should you move to the Cloud? It depends.

You Have Remote Employees

Thanks to technology and a new view of employee productivity, many businesses now have remote capabilities for their team members. If your business has employees who are not always in the office and may be working in airports or in their living rooms across the country, moving to Cloud computing services could be an excellent decision. The Cloud offers increased flexibility and less frustration for a team that may not always work in the same office.

You Have to Meet Certain Regulations

On the flip side, if you are in a business that must meet certain regulations from government or other bodies, moving to a Cloud-based system may simply not be possible. If you work within an industry that mandates physical location for data, you may not be able to effectively move to the Cloud.

You Are Planning to Grow

If your business is expected to grow over the next few years or few decades, moving to the Cloud means you won’t have to worry about updating new systems every time to gain new team members or increase your client base. The scalability of Cloud-based services is excellent and it gives you one less thing to worry about as you focus on growth.

You Don’t Have the Right Support in Place

Moving to the Cloud and maintaining it can be overwhelming if you are trying to do it on your own. Fortunately, you don’t have to manage it by yourself when you choose to invest in the services of RWK. Our team is ready to help you migrate to the Cloud and create systems that will keep your employees efficient, happy, and productive.

It’s okay if you aren’t exactly sure what Cloud-based services are and if your business would thrive using them. That’s what we’re here for. Call our team at RWK to tell us more about yourself, your company, and your goals. We’re here to help!
